In America, the early performance arts achievements of the young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely be in the child prodigy category. These traits were natural for a child born in Ireland, surrounded by talented parents and a loving family. Maureen was born in Ranelagh - a suburb of Dublin the capital of Ireland on the 17th of August 1920. Marguerita FitzSimons' mother, Lilburn, was a contralto.
