Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her abilities compared to the other students at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. However, she left before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to release her first solo album Diva. The album came out in 1992. Commercially and critically, it was an enormous hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out on October 31, 2014. This C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues soul tracks from her the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled Now I Let You go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is a Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to achieve international fame in 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992, with the release of Diva, which featured several hit songs such as Why and the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album includes cover versions of tracks like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo studio albums and the compilation album include a number of tracks.
